Nekki case study
The Nekki (www.nekki.com) company originally produced browser games, but in 2010, Nekki shifted their attention to the mobile gaming world.

Now Nekki has Shadow Fight Arena, the first multiplatform project with real PvP. Shadow Fight 2 Android has more than 400 million downloads throughout the world, and MAU of more than 500K per month.

Goal

Our partner's goal was to increase income from Russia and other CIS countries from the monetization of the Shadow Fight 2 Android and iOS apps. A quick solution was required: mediation that would be stable and have different adapters for the many different ad networks with Unity support.

Strategy

Integration with myTarget: mediation AdMob + SDK
Ad formats: interstitial, rewarded videos

The chosen solution was a transition to AdMob mediation. All the formats from the previous mediation were kept, but the waterfall was significantly reworked. The addition of a large quantity of ad networks created competition within the waterfall and increased the average eCPM per app.

myTarget was placed at the top of the waterfall.

Results

myTarget made up 43% of the ads shown in Shadow Fight 2 Android in Russia (Q1 2020)
CPM growth:
for interstitials +56%
for rewarded video +47%
